Kahoot

Hey everyone! This entry is abaout Kahoot!

Kahoot! is a game-based learning and trivia platform. What makes Kahoot! so great is that it has uses beyond the classroom; it can be used in offices and social settings, making it a hit for all ages. Kahoot! can be used from any device (through the website or the app), making learning fun and inclusive in all contexts for all ages. Teachers can create multiple choice games related to class content that students can play as a class by entering the game code on their app or device. Kahoot! offers a multitude of other forms of games related to class content that can make learning fun.

Here is my Kahoot! quiz featuring tag questions!

Pixton

Hello! Today I've made a short comic using
Pixton. Pixton allows us to create avatars
looking like us and using those avatars in
comics. It also enables us to share them
with our students. Students can also
create their avatars and comics. It was
pretty fun to make comics of my own.

Here is the short comic I've made :)

Storybird

Hi everyone.
This entry will be about Storybird. You can use this site to create stories, comics or poetries. Since each material is backed with images students will be interested in seeing them and also creating their own content.

Here is an image I created with some of my favourite lyrics.

Voki

Hi!

Today's entry will be abour Voki, a free service that lets you create a talking avatar to help students share their learning. The other excellent feature is that it can then be embedded onto a blog or Wikispace. Voki gives us as a teacher the opportunity to engage students in any topic area through a simple to use and free resource available anytime and anywhere for almost any purpose.

Here is my Voki Avatar Budha Welcoming You :)

Powtoon

Hello! This short entry will be about Powtoon, an animation software.
With Powtoon anyone can create engaging animated videos. As teachers, we can take advantage of this software and create animations to atract our students' attention. Some features are priced, however there are still free ones you can use.

Here are the links to the animations I've made using only the free features;

HP Reveal

Hey all!

I was inrtoduced to HP Reveal in my class and I would like to introduce you too. HP Reveal aims to Turn everyday objects, images, and places into new opportunities for engagement through striking augmented reality experiences. I think this app can be used in classroms as it is practicle and enjoyable for students and teachers.

Here are some examples of my HP Reveal journey.

Seesaw

Hi people! I learned about a platform called Seesaw and I would like to share it with you. Seesaw is a platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It’s simple to get student work in one place and share with families, and nothing is shared without teacher approval. It is also suitable for all age groups.

You can see an example of my own Seesaw activity for 12th graders by clicking the link below.
